Biodiversity highlights: Area conserved – 120ha.
Fraai Uitzicht is situated in the picturesque Breede River Valley, bounded by the foothills of the Langeberg to the north and the Sonderend Mountains to the south. This specific area is called Klaas Voogs, named after a colonist who had been trampled to death by an elephant.

The natural area on Fraai Uitzicht is still in a pristine condition and the owner of this farm has committed that no vineyard expansion will take place on pristine natural habitat, but only on previously cultivated areas.

The natural area consists mainly of Breede Shale Renosterveld, as well as Roberson Karoo. The renosterveld veldtype has been classified as having a "Vulnerable" conservation status. ,, Most Renosterveld systems harbour high numbers of rare and localized species and should always be treated as threatened habitat.

The management on Fraai Uitzicht is also committing to implement the biodiversity guidelines of this imitative. They have already started with the clearing of alien plant species. Other conservation activities include recycling as well as documentation of the unique biodiversity of the farm.
